   报告摘要:

Mathematical models making use of difference equations had played an instrumental role in determining the release threshold for Wolbachia fixation in nonoverlapping populations in laboratory. Inspired by its great potential to eliminate the mosquito-borne diseases. Our question is: If a batch of Wolbachia-infected mosquitoes are released in a laboratory cage, how will the infection frequency in the cage change? Intuitively, we might expect that the frequency always increases. This is, to our surprise, not always the case. Our analysis depends on impulsive difference equations and shows that there is a threshold frequency, denoted by x, such that the monotonicity of the infected frequency is closely associated with the relation between the previous frequency and x.
