报告摘要:Functional textiles and protective clothing performance, and its interaction with human being are discussed. The standard and method used for textile material and clothing performance analysis will be introduced, including the instrumented manikins. Several developed numerical models for clothing comfort and thermal protection will be introduced and its applications and predictions will be presented. The current trend in functional textiles and protective clothing will be shared.
人物名片:Dr. Guowen Song received his PhD degree in Textile Engineering, Chemistry and Science, at North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles in Raleigh, North Carolina. Currently he is the Noma Scott Lloyd Chair in the Department of Apparel, Event and Hospitality Management at Iowa State University’s College of Human Sciences. Song’s academic interest is textile materials and clothing for human health and safety. His work involves modeling studies of textile materials, protective clothing, development of devices and test protocols, and analysis of textile and clothing performance. His current focus is to develop a unique research program that will improve clothing function and performance. This research aims to develop new textile materials and clothing systems through understanding mechanisms and fundamentals associated with heat and mass transfer between the human body, clothing, and environment. These studies include lab simulations, application of instrumented manikins and human subjects, and 3D body scanning technology. Dr. Song has published over 80 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has edited several books and contributed a dozen chapters to books in his field of study.
